Book 1 - Old Bones
When RJ Harrison’s career as an Insurance Investigator comes to a near fatal end, he leaves the past behind. He finds a new life, new friends, romance and quite unexpectedly, a skeleton in the attic of his newly acquired island Inn. His new profession as Innkeeper may be no less challenging than his old one had been.
His peaceful island hideaway among the Rideau Lakes has a mystery or two and RJ, with help from his friend, Police Sergeant Mike Grant, must deal with the skeleton and with a shadowy adversary who would rather not see the truth revealed and who will resort to any means to see that it isn’t.
Disused investigative and cooking skills are put back into use as RJ looks after his guests at the Inn and tries to unravel the mystery even as his adversary tries to put him out of business for good.
Book 2 - Flight Plan
At the Gilmore House Inn, business is thriving and former insurance investigator turned innkeeper RJ Harrison is feeling good about his new life and his new relationship. People come from all over to stay at the island Inn among the Rideau lakes and enjoy the beauty and peace, and, for a short while, escape the turmoil of life, much as RJ had hoped to do.
But some guests bring their conflicts to the island with them. A former owner of Gilmore island is determined to regain ownership and RJ must fight to retain control. A guest goes missing and a body turns up, and RJ’s peaceful hideaway is peaceful no more. RJ and his friend, OPP sergeant Mike Grant, find themselves, once again, pitted against clever and deadly opponents
Book 3 - Back Story
Gilmore Island is in turmoil, and owner RJ Harrison must set it right.
Someone from RJ’s former life is spreading nasty rumours about him in social media and the fallout is wreaking havoc at the Inn. A ghost from RJ’s Cold War past is bent on revenge. No one and nothing RJ cares about is safe; not his friends, employees or girlfriend; not his reputation…or his Inn.
Some of RJ’s former cold war associates come to his aid, as do his friend, OPP Sergeant Mike Grant and some of his more stalwart employees. They race to dig into RJ’s back story to unearth identity and motives before his murderous foe’s final reckoning is complete. But will they be quick enough, or is RJ’s idyllic dream at an end so soon after it began?
